So first run of the year and I stalled out after 5 minutes of run time. I think I have a fuel issue and here's why...
After 5 minutes the engine was stumbling for fuel, died, and would not restart.
I started by changing the fuel filter (fcc), and it was dirty enough I was sure that was the problem.
Now there is a complete no start with the fresh filter.
Here's my caveman methodology for troubleshooting...
I went to take the fcc apart again but when I drained it, nothing came out.
So now I'm thinking fuel pump. I disconnected the main line to the fcc from the low pressure pump. When I turn the motor over with the disconnected hose, I expected fuel to shoot out but I never got a drop.
Is it safe to say I have an issue with the low pressure pump?
Is there a reset or fuse to check?
Thanks for any help.
