    Diagnosing blower issues, 2006 SV211, keypad

    short problem:

    my Blower doesn't turn on. I hear a faint "click" when pressing the button, and a slightly different faint "click" when pressing it a second time. The light also does not illuminate.

    I found a thread that details how to replace the blower, however I'd like to rule out electrical issues, so I'm looking for some information "where to start"... I've checked the breaker, but I'm having trouble tracing the wiring since it's all in the harness heading forward.

    Any suggestions?

    The blower is located in the engine compartment, pretty sure mine is on the starboard side just inside that panel divider. If you have a multimeter, you can just pop the connector at the blower itself and see if you are getting 12V to the blower from the "boat". If you are, then it is just a bad blower, if not.... then real troubleshooting begins.

    The wiring digram is http://www.planetnautique.com/Correc...ms/2006211.PDF The blower is on the left hand side of the page, near the middle (top to bottom) shown with the neon green connector. That is what i would disconnect and see if it is the blower motor or the boat.

      My blower did the same on my 06...and I think it would alway flip the little breaker under the dash...replaced the blower and all good.

        If that's the original blower I can almost guarantee that it's bad.... EBay is great for finding a quality 3" or 4" blower for a decent price...

          I believe it to be the original blower. My game plan (currently) is to pop the box open and do a quick electrical test at the fuse (sounds like the easiest solution), if that's a no-go, then I'll start looking at pulling out the hard tank. Might also consider doing the tank-buster ballast setup at the same time...

            That sounds way harder than just putting a meter on the plug to the blower...just my opinion.
