I'm really getting tired of my TopSider oil extractor. It makes changing oil a slow painful process.

12V Oil Changers. Anyone tried them?
Jabsco makes a couple different 12V oil changers that get power from your battery. One of them has a diaphragm pump and a flat 3.5 gallon oil containment tank. It sells for $130-$169. The other uses an impeller pump just like the late model Nautique ballast puppy. This unit uses a 3.5 gallon bucket with the pump mounted on top of the bucket. It is also reversible. It sells for $192-$229. Does anyone have any experience with either of these units?

Shade - I was looking at these yesterday. I have the first one puctured. It works, but it is not terribly fast. Prob 20-30 min to suck out all the oil. Had it for about 6 years so it is getting a little long in the tooth. Was seriously considering the souped up Jabsco but not sure if it is worth it or should I just get the $40 Attwood manual pump off Amazon? I have never used any other pump so I don't have anything to compare mine against. Curious what others are using.....

I've used the vacum style pumps for many years with no problem at all. Save the money and forgo the need for 12V. They both take about 30 minutes to extract the oil.2015 G23 550
