So just bought this boat last year and everything feels like it's going bad at once. As I finished an alternator install I checked over the boat after a test drive and notice a couple tablespoons of pink tranny fluid right under the transmission. The level still seemed fluid ok but I was out of the water when I checked it. I also checked the v-drive level and there appeared to be a grittiness coating the vdrive oil dip stick. Called a couple mechanics and they are booked out 10 days. Can I drive this in the meantime? Is there anything I can do? The only mistake I made this year was someone flipped on a ballast pump that I did not have hooked up to a bag, so I took on maybe 6-7 inches of water before we noticed. Can that ruin seals or get in the transmission?
