2005 air nautique ZR6 fuel injector diagnosis

So I scored a sweet boat from a bankrupcy auction and have been working tirelessly to get it ready. After pulling the motor and going through the whole thing everything is ready to be fired up. I have it all hooked up and ready to fire. My problem comes with the fuel injectors, they are not putting any fuel in to the motor. My first thought of course is something computer related. Fuel pump check out in perfect working order. How can I diagnose this problem without something to read codes or anything like that? Is there an actual wiring diagram for the engine bay itself? I see the diagrams on the site and they helped me a lot. I just feel I am missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am a newbie when it comes to the boat community so take it easy on my poor tired soul Have a great day!

Pulling codes is cheaper than going through things the hard way. Just go to Harbor Freight or NAPA and get an OBD 2 reader. You'll be thankful.

Thanks for the reply man. From everything I have read I can not just plug in an OBD 2 reader in to the ECM to get codes out. Am I mistaken? if so that would be an easy thing to do.

From what I read I would need the whole Diacom setup to actually be able to diagnose the problem.
