Pefect pass problem first time out this year

When we first pulled our SAN out this year I noticed that i was getting a "0.0" indicated boat speed on my PP guage. The set speed was still reading out what I set it at last fall when we put her up for the winter.

I haven't had time to do anything with it yet, so we've just been driving it the old fashioned way and realizing how spoilt we've gotten...

Any tips to get me started fixing this? Tonight I'll prolly start at the paddle wheel and see if its shot.

    Thanks in advance.

    Matt,

Paddle wheel would be my first guess and then second would be the connector at the PP module from the paddle wheel.

I have had the same problem. When I put my boat on the trailer (2004 SAN 210) the bunk bent one of the gaurds on the side of the paddle wheel up jamming it. I trimmed these off and things worked great the entire season. NOW, all of a sudden I get 0.0 on the readout yet my set speed still works correctly but it never reaches it because it reads 0.0. It works fine in RPM mode, the wheel will spin freely -- I have tried to calibrate but once you calibration goes beyond -10 in either direction the boat all of a sudden takes off like a runaway bandit . Any idea's? Can you do a hoardcore reset? I have reset based on instructions but still nothing?

You could remove the chip and reinstall it. That should do a complete reset. You might want to do an upgrade at that time. I think it's about 65 bucks for the latest

as you are keying up, hold the on/off button and the menu button at the same time. This will take you to the reset screen. I would have to agree that you have damaged the paddle wheel. Does Perfect Pass engage at all?
