How to get stains from SeaDek

Has anyone posted safe cleaners for the SeaDek material. I layed my swim platform on a blanket in my garage to protect it only to find out it had a motor oil spot on it that was absorbed my the SeaDek. It is very small, dime size, but I want to get it out.

If you have some extra material to do a test on I'd try Totally Awesome on it...

I have heard of people using "Simple Green" since it is enviro safe and non-toxic you can just rinse it off in the water the next time you go out...just a thought. I have tried one or two spots on my seadeck and it has seemed to work well.

Every time I have an oil spill, I just pour some Comet on the spot and let it sit. The Comet tends to wick it out. Just keep applying it as needed. It'll come out for sure.

Warm water and mild soap works ok. I'm actually thinking about the brown seadek on next boat because of this. Gray seems to show more.

Dawn soap is used to clean animals impacted by oil spills. Might give that a try before using something harsher

I second the dawn dish soap but I would get warm water put in spray bottle and add a few squirts of it and spray it on and wipe off with microfiber

The guy that did mine told me to use a mild soap like dish soap and a brush.

I did have some bird dropping on the swim platform. ..ducks...so a fair size...after flushing it with water, I used a brush to really get it all out.

I get oil and grease spots out of things with WD-40. Spray it on and massage it with a soft toothbrush. Its thin ad will dissolve and dilute the oil. Then clean that up with Dawn and H2O

Sunlight will also help after cleaning. The only thing that seems to be impossible to remove is mustard according to my discussions with the guys at SC Wake last month.

We used Dr bronner's hemp soap with an upholstery brush. Then rinsed. Worked great on our gray sea dek.
