How to back flush raw water pump tubes

So before hitting the water I wanted to change the impeller pulled out the old one and its completely destroyed. I also checked the thermostat and it was rusted shut. So replaced those two parts. My question is how to wash out the tubes. I have read online to use a garden house I just don't know what tube to stick the hose into? Does it matter? Any hose. The houses that lead to the thermostat? Thanks for your help guys I just don't want any of that rubber clogging anything up! Ive also cleaned out the strainer as well.

I just pulled the hoses coming from the thermostat and put the garden hose in there and flushed what I could.
