    Tightening Prop Bolts

I have a super air and the prop support arm needs tightening. Trouble is the 4 screws have bolts on the other end and these are right under the engine. How do I get in to tighten them? At the moment it looks like I have to strip the ballst tanks out etc and even then it might be too difficult. Surely there must be some kind of way round this?
    Help!!!!!

    RE: Tightening Prop Bolts

Remove the ballast tank you can reach, if the screw are loose ,should take out and put back with marine sealent achive for preventing water leak.

        Remaval is really easy.

Just two bolts hold the tanks in, and three hoses to disconnect, and they lift out.

I remove mine for general service when I don't have the dealer do it. It really makes it a lot easier.

I had to tighten these on my 96 Super Sport. I don`t have ballast tanks so follow the other guys advice on removing those. Once they are out the bolts are not hard to get to. I removed one at a time sealed the hole and replaced the bolt and nut. Then for peace of mind put a bead around the bracket underneath. Stopped the leaking!!
