Help with 03-05 Faria box - need pics

    Hi all,

I recently took apart my Faria Gateway box due to an intermittent issue I am having with my gauges.I expected water, but what I found was a small diode that had come loose off of the circuit board. Since diodes are directional, i need to make sure I solder it on in the right orientation. Does anyone have a gateway box that is taken apart right now that i could get a picture of? I am specifically looking for diode "Z10" located at the bottom right of the board. I need to know which way the scalloped side faces.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks! I appreciate it. Will the boat still function without the box installed? just no guages?

Ok, have info. My diode is a different vendor, so my indexing Mark is a line (yours is a dot). This is a zener diode by the way. So my indexing line points to c59. If you look at the top left of the board, you will see z5. My z5 is opposite of my z10. Meaning, my indexing line is pointed towards d1. Hopefully you can get a reference from that.

Do you know how to solder? Surface mount is a pain in the a$$. Luckily, this is one of the larger components. Send me a PM if you need to talk live for more help.

Thanks Skidave! Big help and everything is working now but my tach... now to figure that out.

I actually found that the board was marked with two very small hash marks on the cathode side. You can barely see them in the picture attached.
