2013 G23. Yesterday I noticed while slowing down to idle the speedo read about 20 MPH then stayed above 10 while stopped. I stopped the engine and things normalized. Now it reads zero at all speeds and my set speed is inoperative. Everything else (including moving GPS lat/long works). Bad timing on a long weekend. Any ideas???

I was thinking that the GPS antenna had come unplugged, but if the map works properly, I guess that's not it. Have you tried a simple power-down (with battery switch turned off)?I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Thanks for the reply Tried a power down with Batt switch off. It there an access panel that is easy to remove/replace so I can check for loose cable connection etc? Or do I need someone with more than a box of tools and a limited skill set?

I've been told that it sounds like a bad GPS puck. I'm surprised there is no RPM mode on the speed control. In addition to helping with my (uncommon) problem, an RPM modewould probably provide a better "river mode" than estimating the current and adding in the estimate on the unit.

Mine did this first time out this Spring, ended up replacing the antenna puck. It would work intermittently, then freeze on its last reading for speed and nav. I could go to the GPS utility screen and it would show it was picking up 0-3 satellites when frozen. All's well since the puck replacement, hope you're still under warranty!

This happened on my 2013 230 I tried everything to get it working. Ended up powered down and took the GPS puck off. left it in a bag of rice for the night. Replaced it the next day turned power on and everything worked. Still got a spare puck from the dealer because we are very remote and don't want that to end a good day on the water. Year later it happened again when we got caught in some rain. This time the rice did not work but I had the spare!
I agree not having RPM mode is a poor over site.
