I have a 1999 Super Air and the cable running from paddle wheel to the perfect pass master module was accidentally cut. (was cutting the ends of some zip ties and accidentally cut it). Do I need to order the entire paddlewheel replacement or do they sell this wire somewhere individually. The complete housing replacement is about 130 from perfect pass which isn't a huge deal but was hoping to find it somewhere for slightly less. Also, my gauge does not work now, would that be because the wire was cut? Anyone have experience with this? Also, is swapping out the entire housing an easy job? Any tips I need to know before getting into it? Thanks in advance!

I did some work on the PP about 5 years ago so memory may not serve. I replaced the Paddlewheel housing and the wire to the Module on my 2001 SAN. The original thru-hull hole was 1-3/4" (I believe) and PP only sells 2" replacements now so I had to bore out the hull to 2". Mentally scary but physically no problem if you prepare the existing hole in such a way as to keep the 2" hole-saw centred. Don't forget the 3M 4200 either. If that Paddle-wheel is not communicating with the Module, you will not get any readings at the instrument head. I would suggest phoning Perfect Pass in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia directly. Very helpful. They would be able to steer you in the right direction regarding just the wire replacement as an option. Good Luck.
