I searched and couldn't find anything on this specifically. My water and air temp readings on the Faria gauges are pretty inaccurate. The water temp seems to work sometimes but air temp has never worked. Does anyone know where these readings come from and if there is anything that can be done short of replacing the senders? I wonder if it is them of the gateway box though.

I have an 2002 SAN so might be different but my water temp read comes from a sensor that is T'd into my raw water pickup for the engine. The air temp sensor is on the back side of my dash pod.

My water temp only reads accurate when engine is running because that's the only time it's getting a fresh supply of lake water to read. With engine off the water in the cooling hoses can heat up with ambient temperatures and heat radiating off engine.

I've figured out what that sensor going into the raw water hose is now! thanks!! I will watch because the lake temp seems to be more accurate. The air temp is always way under or off. Is your air temp sensor a separate sensor or built into the gauge?
