I just bought a 2007 SANTE with super low hours. First day out (2 days ago) was running it and at about 4000 RPM the CEL came on without an audible alarm. I backed off the throttle immediately and the CEL turned off and stayed off. Then the boat started missing a little (not badly). Once I shut the batteries off and came back to it, the miss seemed to be gone. Called the shop, and ended up changing out cap/rotor (decent corrosion), oil/filter, FCC. I added some fresh gas with Seafoam and Stabil Marine. Took the boat back out, and it was running much smoother.
Accelerated back up and exactly at 4000 RPM the CEL light came back on with no audible alert. Throttled off and it immediately turned off. Then the boat ran rough again.
I haven't had it hooked up to a computer yet, but does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?
Thanks much!!
