    2004 SANTE integrated bow sac

We'd like to weight the bow down more, and would prefer not to have the sac just sitting on top of the bow seats. What are the options?

For surf or wakeboard? In my 04 we ran about 400lbs of lead weights split evenly in the bow/rear/left/right for wakeboarding, then when we surfed we'd move the rear right weight to the front left side under the seat so we'd have about 280lbs in the bow. It really helped lengthen the surf pocket. I felt we could use 100-200 lbs more but my wife hated driving it so weighted.

IIRC the integrated bow sac is about 500lbs so you could go that route too. I just really liked being able to move the lead easily.

I really believe the lead is the way to go for concealed bow ballast in these older boats. You can't fully fill any bow sac under the bow seats so you won't get anywhere close to 500lbs concealed with sacs. And the plumbing makes for extra time filling and draining. If interested check out leadwake.com I have 4 of the 50 lbs bags and could easily fit 4-5 more in my bow so 500lb is achievable with lead. The bags are really easy to move around with the heavy duty strap handles. They also make 25 lb bags too. Really good quality product.

Thanks for the thoughts. My hesitancy with lead is that while my kid wakeboards, I still slalom (yes, I know it's not a good slalom boat), and I can easily remove water ballast.

I had a custom fat sac made from Get High Sports(don't know if they're still in business) It's fairly small and fits underneath the front triangle seat. I figured it's about 100lbs. I plumbed it with a separate pump that "T's" off one of the rear tanks and I ran the tubing tie wrapped along the port side gunwale and I control with a separate pump switch. I also have about 200lbs of lead in the bow so, I'm about 2 extra persons.

That year/model is tricky, pumps/setup changed in 2006. If you're looking to have the overflow from the existing hard belly tank fill additional underseat bow bag and then overflow out it's pretty difficult. Contact wakemakers; they know that boat well, and they can walk you through all of your options. I always filled and drained a bag on top of the cushions manually... and then drained it and put it under the seat when I was done. Lead wasn't an option for me when trailering far or driving long distances on the lake/skiing. Good luck

On my previous 2004 Sante we changed to a two way pump with relays and installed a fly high level shaped 1100 bow sac under the front seats. It was piggy backed in top of the factory belly tank. We also had removed the rear tanks and put in 1100 v drive sacs with the stock two pump setup.

The fill hose for the bow bag was just forward of the driver under the seat.

Removed the cooler in mine.(2003) then ran the vent hose from the belly into the V shaped sac under the seats and the vent from it out the side where the belly vent went. To get it to fill I just turn on the belly tank and when it starts to overflow out the vent I put a cork in it then it will force fill the V sack. Otherwise it will only fill about half way max. Cost about $.50 for a cork at Home Depot. I have 100lbs of lead under each side too (flat tractor weights). I have 750 fat sacs on each side of the motor and can ride at 21.5 with all the sacs full. I rarely do BC I can't do anything more than I can do with just the back half full at 20mph. (Tantrum, backroll, scarecrow, HS 360, most 180s) I'm better than a beginner but that's about it.

How did you remove the cooler? On our boat the cooler looks like it's part of the seat structure. Did you cut it out?

Yeah we had to cut out the bow cooler to fit the bag in. It filled just fine and drained fine also.

Having lead up front when you slalom should help by flattening out the wake.

I called WakeMakers and bought the "Straight Line Sumo Hidden Under Bow Bag 500lb." and the "Ultra Complete Reversible Pump Ballast System" for my `04 SAN. I had to cut out the cooler and then plumb in the pump and everything. Cutting out the cooler was a PAIN IN THE A**. But in the end it was worth it.

how does the 500 bag fit?

and where do you guys put your anchor now?

considering this mod IF I can hook it up to the overflow on the center tank.

not sure how to go about it though...
