Attention anyone following this thread that may have dealt with these issues successfully - help please. I have been dealing with intermittent working gauges and alarms bells on and off for a year and have slowly tried to chase the issue down. It has to be an electrical issue, but I'm not as familiar with boats as cars. Below I have documented my issues and hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. I don't mind sending it to someone who can fix it (Phoenix, AZ Area), but I don't want to spend money for someone to waste a bunch of time just to tell me they are clueless. Any help is much appreciated!

My Gateway Box is Part no: GW0020A (not the version with the water pressure inlets)
Started noticing the following in 2019:- Oil Pressure gauge and speedometer (which includes a digital display for the depth finder) would stop working, restart, and then stop again. Depending on the day, it either worked or did not.
- All other gauges seemed to keep working.
- Took it to Century Marine. They stated that the Oil Pressure Gauge and Speedometer were not working and needed to be replaced.
- Found a New Speedometer online, purchased and installed it. Speedometer did not work, however occasionally the needle bounces up and down just above 5MPH. Oil pressure gauge has been working more than not, but still stops sometimes. I use the digital display on the Tachometer which displays oil pressure, volts, engine temp.
- All other gauges have been working (Temp, Volt, Fuel)
- NEW Issue - A high pitch beeping noise will start, sounds like a warning buzzer. It will go off if you turn off the motor and restart the motor, but eventually the noise comes back. I have noticed that when this happens, the tachometer digital display goes out as well - the two seemed to be linked, but not sure why. The boat does have a low depth alarm setting (Depth Sounder) which is connected to the Speedometer Digital Display.
- Replaced Speedometer, it has never really worked. I have the original one as well and think it probably works.
- Removed the Faria Gateway box - opened it to see if it had water damage or obvious burns or damage. It looked really clean, so I resealed it and reinstalled it. After reinstalling the Gateway box, nothing changed, but issues remained consistent, nothing new was detected.
- Cleaned all plugs, wires and connections with electronic cleaner spray and inspected for corrosion.
- While disconnecting plugs on the gateway, I noticed the wires on the Speedometer Plug that go to the Gateway Box, was missing the insulation and looked a bit frayed. I recovered it with electrical tape, but think this may be a potential source or related to the issue.
- After putting everything back together, I tested the boat on the water, everything was the same as before, the buzzing alarm sound did not start for about an hour, but eventually did. I have disconnected the speedometer at the gauge hoping this at least eliminates the beeping noise in the future.
