Yes saw that thread thx...that's why I am going to try and fix myself rather than paying the 1700+tax CDN that I was quoted for the replacement gauge kit!!..
Okay folks, here is my update.
Took the gateway apart. Very easy to do. Found no corrosion or evidence of water.
Put it back together and sealed with marine silicone.
Used a Electronics contact cleaner on all connections.
Happy to say all gauges are back working. Ran the boat about 4 hours over the past week...all okay...

well done ... and thanks for documenting with pics. for all the discussion we've had on this subject, i believe yours are the first pics we have of inside the gateway. you might even copy your pics and result into the sticky'd thread Jeff mentioned above. will make it easier for others to find in the future.
