I have a 2008 SAN 230 with the 390 engine. It only has 170 hours on it. I bought it in 2015 with 74 hours on it. It has been running great but recently the check Engine Light (CEL) has been coming on, seemingly, randomly. During use, the CEL will come on and sometimes quickly go off and other times it takes me backing off the throttle and coming back to idle before it clears. I took it to the dealer to read the codes and they told me the following:
2140 TCP2Low
2126 TCP 1&2 High
I told them I wanted to do my own research about what this was simply because it seems to be a blackhole sometimes with dealers to figure things out. Anyways, they did not have any immediate insight as to what this is.
I saw one post that said it may be an issue with the Throttle Control Position Sensor. Does anyone have anymore feedback about this?
I've put about 20 hours on the boat since this has been happening and it has not had any negative effects, that I can tell. No loss of power or different sounds of note.
Any help is appreciated. I am an Engineer and pretty handy. I'd prefer to fix it myself but don't want to start throwing money at a bunch of parts.
