06 Perfect Pass & Jump mode?

This weekend we had a tournament with a jump event. Both tow boats had the same problem. One was an 06 196 with the latest PP, one was a "bu" with the latest PP. Both boats have throttle by wire this year. Neither boat could get good times trying two different jump switches. The promo driver there had not pulled a jump event yet this year and could not beleive there was a problem. Are there any other promo drivers out there had a problem? The driver here will be in touch with PP today. Any easy solution?

You guys are already having tournaments? Awesome. No one around here has had one. I'll ask some promo guys here if they've heard anything.

BTW, how's the slalom wake on the new 196?

Everyone is loving the wake and driving the 196, even one of the guys that was trying to be the Malibu promo guy couldn't beleive how well the boat drove through the course. Last year we had a neighborhood tournament and he got tired of hearing how good the wake was on the 05 196 that was there. The Nautique promo guy of course is saying the wake is better in 06 from 05 but what else is he suppose to say. He say's the trick wake is much improved with the changes and hydro-gate but not quite the trick wake of old.

Do you think the 06 196 drives/tracks better than the 05 196?

I didn't drive an 05 196 much so I hate to say. It is hard to beat any recent 196. I think the 206 tracks better due to the weight of the boat but slow speed handling around skier, docks and such go to the 196.
