I've got a 2007 ZR6 engine. The engine shifts into gear and idles forward. Then on acceleration the throttle handle can be pushed wide open, but there is no response; the engine just continues to idle forward. Pull the throttle back and try again and it accelerates normally. This usually just happens on the fist acceleration after the engine has been off for awhile. Any thoughts?

That should be a drive by wire or electronic controlled throttle meaning no cable. So my guess would have to be either in the throttle control lever itself, or the servo that operates the throttle on the engine. Wouldn't think a wiring problem would be intermittent like that.2005 SV-211

Do you have Perfect Pass installed on your boat? Sometimes the servo for the PP doesn't engage properly and creates some slack in the small cable linking to the throttle. Try and check that perhaps. I've been having issues with PP on my boat a few times this summer, symptoms similar to what you describe and that was the issue.Current : 2000 Pro Air Nautique, Silver&Black accents, pulled by 2012 black Chevy Tahoe

I have your same ZR6 in my 2007 SV-211 and have randomly experienced exactly what you describe. Seems to be more prominent first of the summer and has not occurred recently. I also experience acceleration problems after first putting the boat in for the summer even though it has been stored with Stabil and had half a tank of fresh fuel added. It almost seems like the computer has "relearn" how to control the engine after winter storage. After about an hour of engine time performance seems to be perfect except the random throttle event you describe. Can't help diagnose but can attest to experiencing what you have.
