I just TODAY replaced the right side keypad in my 00 pro air. It was $421 with tax. The reason for replacing was that I have no power to my bilge. My meter shows that the wires have continuity but the plug is not Getting power. I know I’ll use the pad because I’m keeping this Frickin boat for a long time. So it’s money well spent even tho it sucked when I hit the bilge and it still didn’t work.

The master ignition code and all other programmed codes are stored in the PME Brain Box. The keypads simply send data signals to activate the relays in the brainbox, etc. It's like the keyboard on your computer. I've had to replace both the ignition keypad and the accessory keypad in my 2000 Ski nautique because slowly the accessory buttons stopped working - you would have to press really hard get some buttons to turn on/off. The start button on my ignition keypad stopped working so I had to replace the whole thing. I hope they continue to make the keypads because it would be a nightmare to wire these boats back to a traditional key and toggle switches along with creating panels on the dash.
The keypads are sealed units. I've never destroyed one to see what's inside but they are not serviceable. As far as the wires on the back I believe it's power, ground, and 2 data wires (transmit/receive?).Last edited by xlwater01; 04-21-2020, 10:11 AM.
