    Excaliber 330 oil leak

Oil is appearing in the bilge of our '04 SANTE 210. Not a lot, but enough to make a mess. I looked and felt around the engine, and where the oil drain hose attaches to the oil pan seems to be where it's coming from. Because I can't see the connection I'm not really sure how to service it, or even if it's servicable. Does anybody have experience fixing an oil leak at that connection? Thanks.

My GT40 could be different keep in mind... Should have a hex nut on a 90 degree fitting that your drain hose attaches too. Hold the 90 fitting stationary and tighten the hex nut towards the oil pan.

make sure it's not running from somewhere else and just ending up at that fitting

It is the lowest point on the engine so oil often will track there check crank seals as they can track down the side of the pan to the drain

I thought the 330s were pretty good about oil leaks and the v-drive would leak out of the oil pan gasket.

They are but engines that age are known to have hard seals due to lack of use or could be due to someone pulling it down at some stage or any number of other events ad we don't know any history I have even seen a oil pan with rust holes through is as it was sitting in water most of the time as the shaft seal was leaking most of its life
