    How about 900 hours on a 2015 SAN 210 (343 motor)

Looking to buy a super clean, meticulously maintained high hour boat. Correct Craft maintains the boat and keeps records of all service/inspections. Obviously that is a TON of run time on a 1.5 year old boat but if I am thinking correctly, it would be similar to 40,000 miles on my truck...

    Thoughts or concerns are appreciated.

A concern for me would be the condition of the interior and fiberglass. Based on the hours it was probably used commercially for a watersports school or camp. Based on your description this is not a concern but I would want to see it in person.

Like others have written, with proper maintenance and depending on condition of interior, it should be a good buy if priced appropriately. Getting close on about 2 years of usage, depending on location may or may not have been abused. In the end check it out in person, test drive trying every option/component for proper operation. If it checks out and makes sense financially, go for it! They're built to last!!

Agree, if maintained correctly 2000 hrs is realistic.

Usually ski school boats are strip down very basic.

It is a Coastal Edition in San Diego. Yes, salt water. Very meticulously maintained and cleaned after each use including flushing the exhaust. Stored inside each night. Stereo equipment removed during use and re-installed for the new owner.
I always swore I would never have a salt water boat then they came out with the Coastal edition. Less than $50k for a $80k boat.

              The teal one?

If so that's not a bad deal. Was 55k last month. Saw it just last weekend.

I would for sure have the exhaust manifolds pulled and make sure it was flushed correctly.

Look at seat sliders ( mine were rusted bad)

I agree that 900 hours on a 1 year old motor should be fine. I would take a wild guess and say that 80% of marine motors that are in need of an overhaul are due to age and internal corrosion from just sitting for so long inbetween usage and not due to actually being worn out from too much usage. The worst thing you can do to any motor is let it sit and with marine engines that's usually what they tend to do. Rust and corrosion will build up on valve seats and camshaft lobes will get pitted due to lack of usage and lack of oil circulation through the motor when it sits for long periods. I'm always skeptical when people advertise their 20 year old boats with 200 hours on them like its a good thing (maybe for visual appearance it is but mechanically not always the case) with that said I learned first hand that it can be a lot more expensive to restor visual appearance than it is to restore mechanical integrity to a boat.

                  Kieth, no issues.

VERIFY the maintenece records to ensure oil and all the filters were changed at their required intervals.

have a high end marine mechanic perform a compression check on all 8 cylinders.

it still have its bumper to bumper warranty... If you choos to pay to have it transferred.

That boat has no link system if I Remember correctly. Stripped down model.

Not sure warrienty is worth the 2 years left?

Are you having manifolds verified they did not leave salt water in them every night?

They flush the boat after each use. They are washed down after each use and waxed each month. Always stored inside as well. No trailer. They do have Link and NSS

No. It is not available until Sept. A friend is making a business trip to San D. He will check the boats out and report back.

Shameless plug...for just a little bit more for one that has never been in saltwater and has 1/4 the hours. Very little difference between the 2015 and 2012, especially the way mine is optioned with Sea Deck, NSS, etc...actually mine has the reversible rear seat, which the newer ones do not.
