I was looking last year and understand CE models have 3 years warranty vs 5. I've always been told that commercial/camp boats have no or reduced warranty, so ask and get it in writing. I would be hesitant buying a salt-water/high-hour boat, maybe seeing it and records would change my mind. Good luck and do your homework, like others have suggested.

The saltwater crap is ridiculous. Ive run Nautiques in salt for 25 years with no ill affects. If you flush the motor, wash the boat, and keep up on exhaust manifold maintenance, there is nothing to be worried about. Im sure these guys are beyond thourough with their end of day routine. Ive seen freshwater boats pretty beat up and neglected that I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole. Trailers are another issue, they take a beating.

I don't disagree about salt water use if cared for correctly. Agree or not, they will never hold the same value as a fresh water boat. Explain why Nautique reduces factory warranty by 2 years??? My guess it's a higher risk sale, because all owners do not maintain boats at the same level.

If I recall doesn't the CE boat run a Crusader engine? If so I believe they only have a 3 year warranty vs PCM 5 year.

PCM is in all models and warranty is 3 years; the 5 year warranty started in 2016 and limited to 500 hours / 300 CE.

The boat come with an option to buy a 3 year warranty at a very reasonable $. That speaks volume. They also give the names of previous buyers for reference. All have checked out quite nicely.
