The drill pump you see in catalogs for ~15.00 can be found at home depot for 6.99. It is made by Flotec and is right next to the sump pumps at almost any home depot. I just ordered the real drill pump from a catalog, then compared it to the unit I bought at home depot- same brand and unit exactly.

a drill pump can be used as a DIY oil extractor. You go to home Depot, buy a drill pump then find the fittings/ hoses to complete you DIY oil pump.
around $15 bucks when its all said and done.
You then connect it to a drill. Word to the wise. Using and air compressor type drill works great, BUT do not operate it at full power, I smoked my first one using to many RPM's works good on tranny oil.

You know, that's a good point. Initially I thought it was a great idea, but add in the fittings and hose and the 15 bucks sounds pretty good. Well hey, if you want to REPLACE your drill pump because you burned it out, go to home depot and grab the 6.99'er.
