Winterize 2016 230

Sorry if this obvious or has been discussed previously but I am looking for input on winterizing my 2016 230. I believe you only need to pull several valves to drain the boat and you are good to go. However the dealer did the antifreeze bit last year so I am confused as to what is needed. Dealer charges an arm and a leg for this so if I can pull the valves and be done it would Save me time and money. Does anyone know what the requirements are or if full antifreeze treatment is required for warranty? I would ask the dealer but I am sure I know what their answer would be..... Thanks.

Does your motor have the blue valves that you remove and place in that metal block next to the engine? If so, that is what I am planning on doing. Just removing them and blow/suck out the heater hose and you're done

In fact, there was a great thread on Team Talk about different substances used for winterization. Dry block was better than ethylene glycol based antifreeze. The only thing comparable to dry block was propylene glycol.

I doubt that warranty states you have to use anti freeze BICBW

As I understand it, the winterization process is much easier on the DI engines (H5 and H6) than it is on the EX 343 and the ZR409/450. The latter 3 engines I mentioned don't have the blue drain valves that you mentioned. I believe those valves are only on the H5 and H6, but I could be wrong.

For instance, with my ZR450, I have to drain the heat exchanger, drain both exhaust elbows, drain the v-drive, drain the water strainer, and drain the transmission cooler. The block and heads have antifreeze and don't need drained and my boat doesn't have a heater so I don't have to blow that out (thankfully). This is coming from memory, I may be omitting something.
