    Broken bolt on swing-away tongue

Got home last weekend and unhooked as usual. Went to pull the pin for swing-away and had to lift coupler to release it. When swinging it nearly fell off. CRAP! The bolt had sheared off where the threads started. Thank God it wasn't installed nuts up. It was a grade 8, 5/8" x 6 (I think). Replaced it today with quality bolt of same grade. The original bolt end was mostly rusted with a small sliver of fresh metal meaning that it has been cracked for a while and finally gave way. Will definitely be part of the daily check however, it broke during travel so wouldn't have caught it anyway. Just a friendly safety reminder story.
