I have a 1998 Ski Nautique. Recently lost my fuel cap. Turns out it is next to impossible to replace with the correct size for this model. Right now I have a cap that is 2" in place but it is just a little too big. I am considering replacing the fuel filler neck. The problem is I do not know how to remove the rear seat back for access. If I pull up on it, it moves a little but I don't want to break any fasteners that I am not aware of. Also, I had what I believe to be a vapor lock problem this summer and read on this site that cleaning the anti siphon valve might be a possible fix. That too is located behind the rear seat back that I don't know how to remove. By the way, to deal with the vapor lock problem I open the engine cover to let the heat out if I am turning the boat off for an hour or so. It seems to work out, but does not fix what is causing the problem. Thanks

There are two rubber hold-downs at the bottom, connected to the support bars that come down from the gunnels near the seat back. Just unhook those two, and lift straight up.
