    Bilge Pump Relocation 2006 211

    Hey all,

Looking to see if anyone has relocated the factory bilge pump for a 06 211. The factory pump is located up near the ski locker by the driver seat. When there is a little water in the back of the boat near the engine, the forward position of the pump does not really do much since the water mostly sits near the back of the boat.

I was thinking of relocating it where the V-drive/drain plug access hatch is located. Looking inside that small access door by the drain plug, I can see what looks like part of the "belly" tank. Is that going to prevent me for moving things around easily?

*I have a port ballast tank leak which is why I'm getting a little water in the boat. Something I'm going to correct this winter. However, I still think having the pump that far up is kind of silly.*

    I appreciate the feedback!

i own a 210, not a 211, but i almost guarantee you have two pumps in that boat. if not, there should be. should be on the same circuit. do some serious looking around in front of the rudder port.

Yep, there are two pumps. one near the rudder and one in the ski locker behind access hole.

Your rear pump may be clogged.

This tank you speak of.... when you look into the little access to pull the plug, are you looking forward? if so that is the gas tank. When I fill the boat up, I usually hop up in, flip the lid and watch the boat fill up, I am able to prevent it backing up and splashing all over the side of the boat that way.

            Hey All,

thanks for the feedback so far. I'm going to check the rear pump to see if it's clogged.

What's the best way to access the rear pump? I'm having a hard time even getting a look at it. Thanks!

                  Hi Paxdax,

It looks like the sides of the engine bay are removable and might give some more access to those areas. I was really hoping to avoid doing any major work. I have no idea what I'm getting into by removing the muffler. lol Thanks for the reply!

You can just remove the dividers and hard tank if you have them

Definitely remove the dividers and like Rossrips7 said, if you have the hard ballast tanks you can remove those for more access.
