Am I kidding myself? V Drive shaft replacement

So I hit something in a 2005 226. I trashed the prop, broke the rudder and broke the rudder port. While putting the rudder port in noticed the shaft was bent on the prop side of the strut. So now I am pulling the shaft, extremely difficult 8 bolt connector (no room between the bolts and the coupler to get a ratchet on as well as the awesome space to work in). So if I get it all apart and back together, will I be able to align the shaft? Any input would help.

You don't have insurance? This is exactly what it's for. Hope you do.

you sure the strut isn't bent too? But, yes there is not much room at all to get the coupler bolts off. You have to do it blind and get both your hands down there with an open end and a rachet. It's tight but, it can be done.
