2002 Ski Nautique (196) carpet rejuvenation?

Any tips on cleaning, rejuvenating, and "fluffing" the carpet? Can I hit it hard with the Rug Doctor then spray a protectant of some kind?

I'd give it a try. Be careful with pressure washers if you get too close with the nozzle it will actually flood the carpet underneath and break the glue bond between the carpet and fiberglass. Happened to me when I tried cleaning the carpet in my 02 before I decided to just replace it all. Probably because the glue was brittle and old in my 02.

Hit it with a power washer and some soap. Just be careful on the nozel selection and how close you get to the carpet. If you have some tough stains use scrub brush and some stain remover.

After the power wash, I assume suck it up with a wet-dry vac? Any protectant after that?

In my 02, I hit any stains with an oxy clean solution and scrub brush first. Then I used a power washer against the grain to lift it up a little. Works ok, but it won't look or feel new after. For me, it was a band aid to avoid the major work of new carpet (which won't happen until my kids can manage to keep food/drink in their mouths).
