Gauges pegging to right on 2000 SAN

The oil pressure and volt gauges on our 200 SAN have pegged all the way to the right when the boat is running for the last couple of years. At the end of this season, the fuel gauge started doing this too. Is replacing the gauges likely to resolve this problem or is it more likely some other electrical problem?
    Thanks.

I might guess bad ground to the gauges if not failing gauges. Have you connected a digital volt meter to determine dash voltage when the engine is running? For the oil pressure, you can take the lead off of the sender on the engine and ground it and see if it moves. Then see what happens when you disconnect the sender wire completely.

I'd guess if the oil pressure gauge crapped out by confirming with those simple tests (all it does it peg right) then I might guess the others failed in the same way.

My temp gauge spikes to the right when I turn the lights on. It works fine without lights on, but with lights on it pegs right. If I turn the gauge within the dashboard I can get it to act normal, obviously a wiring issue. I would suggest you investigate what's going on behind the dash prior to purchasing new gauges.

In my experience gauges just quite working. If the gauge still moves but its moving wrong either the sensor it is tied to is faulty or the wiring is faulty. If it works it works, its just getting the wrong signal.
