Engine Break In

We have a 2006 SV-211 Le with the 13.5x17.5 Acme 4 blade prob on it and the Excaliber engine. We have 7 hours on it and while under full throttle it won't go above 4700 rpm. Does the computer not allow it to go to the recommended 5000 rpm until it is fully broken in? We had 8 people in it Saturday and went to 4700 and then had 5 people in it today and same rpm. Let me know what you guys think.

Sounds about right for the prop you've got on there. Throw a Team Edition prop on it and I bet you'll get closer to the 5000 mark.

That's about right, my 211 with the 330ex came with the same prop. Why are you wanting it to go to the 5000rpm mark? At 4700rpm with that prop you should be pushing 45mph or more. I felt that it was sluggish out of the hole with that prop. I like the performance with the team prop much better.

We are going about 45mph on a gps. The only reason why I was wondering is because while reading the PCM manaul it says the recommended rpm is 5000 rpm. Thanks for the help.
