    Help winterizing G21 ballast

Ok, I have my "new to me" 2014 G21 mostly ready for the long winter nap. Except I am not making progress winterizing my ballast tanks. I keep trying to pour RV antifreeze down the ballast vents, but the antifreeze just runs out and won't grow into the tank. What am I missing? How is everyone else prepping their ballast for the winter?

Forget the anti freeze. The pumps are very easy to get to. I just pull the impellers and leave the valves open. Good way to ensure you're impellers are in good shape too.

I made a small hose with a funnel at the end. Works great. You only need to fill the overflow hose so it won't crack with remaining water in it.
No worry for small water left in the tank. You just don't want water in the inlet fitting so you just pour antifreeze in the hose going to the ballast from the pump.

I agree with just pumping out what you can and then pulling the impellers. I take the covers off (3 bolts) and pull the impellers off and leave them off and reassemble in the spring.
