Covering holes from tower to prevent debris from getting in boat.

I was so tired of leaves, debris, and water coming through the holes where the tower came through the cover. I took a handful of soccer cones, slightly enlarged the hole and once it was tight against the tower I stapled the ends together. Works great!!!!! Click image for larger version

I have fairly large openings on those as well. I thought the cover manufacturer should have put draw strings in the tops of those sleeves. Is this for winter storage or do you do this year round?

Fall/Winter storage. Draw string would be a great idea! I detail my boat twice a year. Before winter storage and before first outing in the summer. I was tired of all the gargabe that would make its way into the boat via those holes. Cheap and easy fix!
