Not sure if these are stock or aftermarket... But my lights flash on and off (regardless of battery voltage)... Especially the left one for some reason. I'm all for party lights but id prefer they just worked. Is this part of it? Anyone ever had this issue? Ideas where to start? Serviceable parts? Thanks

It's hard to tell without knowing brand or etc. I have used Underwater LED's for awhile, and I can tell you that some have a strobe feature... Also, it could be that they may be going bad - the driver built into the light may be failing causing the flashing.

No definitely not a strobe feature, very random on/off, and it didn't ever do it the last 2 years. What does the driver look like? Little square box that says red/black 15led? Is that part serviceable? (If only I could post a photo)

Really hard to diagnose this.... If there is a separate box, it may be a driver or a relay. If you haven't had any work done to the boat lately, specifically electrical - I would bet they are going bad... Just a guess without knowing brand, etc.. I am not an expert..

Can anyone teach me some drivers? Got one hooked up to a volt meter.... definitely fried... 12v going in anyone's guess going out.
How important is a driver on a 12v system? Can I just run it without it?
OR-
Can I run both lights off one driver (if the other one works)?

the driver is essential for operation.
no, unfortunately can't run with out. you may be able to for a while, but it will likely fry the light or the driver.
two lights on one driver is double the load. not recommended
