I hope you guys can help. I have a 2001 prestige trailer with carpeted bow stops for my nautique. I've seen some all plastic ones. Are they better? Anybody know where I can buy some?...to fit my trailer?

RE: Trailers parts
I used Star board to replace mine when I was working on the trailer this winter. I also have a prestige trailer under my 1997 Nautique. I think starboard may be better because it doesn't put as much friction on the rub rail when the bow bounces during trailering, but the difference is probably not worth the change unless your crash pads are worn out now and you need to replace them anyway. Really I replaced mine just so I wouldn't have to worry about the carpet wearing out and looking bad or the wood rotting, not because I thought they were better for the boat.
I got the starboard on Ebay, sometimes people will sell their scraps after a big project and it's cheaper that way for something small like the crash pads. You can also buy it from westmarine. You can cut the starboard to shape with regular wood working tools and then drill holes in the appropriate places to mount it.
If you're looking for ones ready to just bolt on you might contact prestige and see if they could send you a pair. http://www.prestigetrailers.com
I would have done my side steps with starboard as well if it wasn't so expensive for large pieces, but I came up with another solution. I replaced the step boards with plywood that I painted and then coated with roll on truckbed liner. I only have carpet on the fender boards now. I thought the wet carpet caused the trailer to rust more and definitely made the wood boards rot quicker.97 Ski Nautique 196
