perfect pass SAN 2002 Pros & cons

Anyone got problems with Wake Pro Perfect pass on a 02 SAN
Getting mixed signals some say greatest thing since sliced bread but others say surging at slow speeds when the boats weighted double ups speed not good etc etc
thousand bucks is a lot to shell out is it really worth the money
    any thoughts appreciated

On my 02, I didn't have any issues. While driving double-ups - I think that it depends on how tight of a turn you make on wether or not the speed will hold. (I typically didn't use it on D-up's) A sound product.

on tigh turns you will loose speed no matter what you do. It just takes a lot more horsepower, and PP can't keep up.

I bought PP Digital Pro back in '99 for my '94 Sport and then transferred it to my current 01 SAN. Hands down, no contest, it's by FAR the most worthwhile investment I've put into my boat. Worth every penny. Other opinions may differ, but I can't manually hold speed as well as it does, plus it allows me to pay more attention to my rider. Poke fun at my driving skills all you'd like, but it makes for a consistent pull regardless of my driver and allows the driver to concentrate on rider and other boats.

I know a lot of hardcore types will crab & moan about much better they can hold speed better than PP in turns/double-ups, etc. but for us common folk who appreciate it the rest of the time it's a huge convenience.

          Just my $.02!

My 02 has few problems. You can throttle up a bit during a turn, and the PP will get right back on when you straighten out.

If PP was invented before sliced bread, the saying would go........

Am I the only one that likes my doubleups driven a little slower, say drop from 22.5 to 17-19(or even less) to build up rollers and build up to 20-21.5 mph for the straight run through the wake. Dropping down speed just a tiny little bit can really increase the mass of the DU. The slower speed crossing back over the wake really helps my timing. One other note, I've noticed that the DU's wake does not need to be as firm as regular w2w riding. Bottom line, I say don't use PP for the DU. Slow down and get the most out of it.
