    Nautique Fire

I looked at this Nautique last weekend and wanted to share - it got me thinking about where I store gas and being more careful checking for fumes and running the blower when you first start up the boat. This was a 2000 to 2002 Air/Sport Nautuque. Two weeks ago there was a dock fire and they lost the nautuqie, pontoon and at least two jet skis. Cause unknown, 6am in the morning, no one injured. The guess is lawn water pump on the dock kicked on at 6am and BOOM. Some of you may have seen this boat before, the name on the back was "Patty O", greeen trim and white tower, was a beautiful boat, at Lake Gaston NC about 300 yards from my dock.

Think about it and be careful !!!

That's terrible. I REALLY feel the owners pain on that one.
      How about \"Chales\"?

But, wow! Definately an eye opener. Hopefully insurance will cover it.

Isn't that the guy who went out on his maiden voyage, and had water at his feet and the thing was smoking. I am glad we finally have pictures.

I hope the owners have insurance, and that the insurance will cover their loss. Sounds like a good idea to have the lawn pump far away from any other property, and ensure that all motors around the dock are ignition proof, or at least elevated so as flamable fumes can not pool around them.

I think that boat is from that new insurance commercial where the stunt man is in a rocket jumping over a canyon and the people are watching it on the tv and outside there window is their boat by the dock, the rocket disappears off the tv and lands on their boat and blows up.

The boat is on Songbird Creek (north side of the lake near Eaton's Ferry Bridge) under the culvert. After you go under the bridge on Songbird its on Pigeon Roost (the finger all the way to the left of the three). The house is on the right as soon as you enter Pigeon Roost next to a blue and white Centurion. Its actually sitting on the Centurion's lawn because it floated away after blowing up.
