Hope for GT40 EFI ECU

Looking for input. My long owned 95' Pro Boss GT-40 while running perfect otherwise forever has started to occasionally (while running at skiing speeds) cut off abruptly for about one second then continue normally. I haven't troubleshot yet but replaced the fuel filter and added "Heat" to the fuel in case its due to water in the fuel. That didn't change anything so starting wondering about this ECU issue I've heard of over the years. I've replaced both fuel pumps at some point in the past. I found this thread and most is over my head but great there is a solution to the ECM's going bad. I need a spare for when it goes despite my current issue might not be the ECM.
Two questions...
1. Anyone with directions on what to look at for my issue or think this is an ECM starting to go?
2. Anyone that I can pay for a plug/play ECM fix other than the one at Nautiqueparts.com My parents have a 96' GT40 as well so might want one for them too.

I dont think your problem is related to the ECU. Check everything else first.
I can fix these in many cases if they break. Contact me if you have a bad one.
There is a way to convert ford automotive ECU it's on my to do list to make one.
I also have a bench setup to test these.
Further I have one here with a bad fuel pump transistor i may get it fixed considering the season is over.
If i get it to work i would sell it for $300.

Peter6000 … do you work if the Gm computers for the Excalibur engines? I have a friend with a potential issue with the Canbus signal… engine runs fine, just no data on the gauges. Already replaced the Faria Gateway thinking that was the issue after testing, but it didn't change anything. Mainly just want to test the Canbus signal to make sure it's good.

i understand that there might be a source of information regarding getting a ecm repaired for a 2004 sv211 Excalibur 330 - mine has been back to a shop in CA serveral times but is now running extremely rich - gas in the water - previously is was running very rough at idle and would not take any throttle - only 300 hours on motors?
dealer has swapped ecm with another boat and it ran great!
any thoughts??

Just came across this thread. I have a gt40 on a 1996 ski Nautique. I think the Ecm is bad. I also saw moates.net is currently not working. What are my options for getting a new chip made that I can use on a used ford Ecm from eBay?

Bump for any information on current options for a replacement/backup ECM for the GT-40, also noticed moates.net appears to have closed up shop. Does anyone still have the hardware and any spare chips (or ECM's for that matter) to flash a spare ECM?
