Been a while since I posted on this topic. Still working on getting the 300M tune to work apparently the read I took was inaccurate due to faulty settings. We tried it with no luck, used different settings and got a different read this one "looks" more promising we shall try it out and see.

Success for me,runs great on the trailer, will do a water test later. I bought a c1a1 computer on ebay and had the moates chip programed with the e290 file. While not having any issues with the original I wanted to have a spare just in case. Thanks to all those who figured this all out.

Okay the most recent GT40 tune is (300M) is up and running now. The 300M tune, from what I gather was used from 1999-2002 at which point production of the Gt40 ceased. It is not letting me upload the file here for some reason. Perhaps Jeff can get the 300M file to post here for this thread. It says it wont let me upload a .bin file. If not anyone interested can just shoot me a PM with your email address and I will send you the file. Big thanks to the guys over at eectuning.org they were able to rehash my reads I posted and get the tune to run on these Moates chips.

Here is link to the 300M chip running in a C1A1 ecm... Thanks Rusty for testing all these 300M chips for me.

The moment is here, I'll be looking for a C1A1 (anyone going to Costa Rica soon?! ) and am going to need one of those chips. Bummed this happened, but so glad there's a solution now!

After continuing to look for a company to repair my ski partners PCM GT-40 ECM, we found a company in Arvada Colorado (ECU Repair Now) http://www.ecurepairnow.com/ that was willing to take a look at it for us. It took them about a month and they ended up having to order some parts and do some research but were able to get us back on the water for around $500. We received it back from them this fall (just before taking the boat out for the season), and it seemed to work like new. Thank you ECU Repair Now!!!!!

Do you happen to know what components they replaced? Did they specify that?

I had mine checked at a lab where they confirmed it went bad. They could fix it but said it would probably not be feasible. Didn't get a quote, but already had a used one and a chip on the way. Which work great! Put several hours on it without an issue.
Thanks so incredibly much t.franscioni and everyone else involved in figuring all this out!

All the credit to the OP. As it turns out I’ll be needing a chip myself and am happy to program for anyone in need.

Thanks to Tom for programing mine. I have less than 200 total invested. Computer was 87,chip was 75 and misc expenses. Just might have to have a chip burned with the updated 300 code sometime.

I am also looking for somebody with the ability to burn a chip. I Pm'd someone on the list awhile back but I don't think they have checked the forum in awhile. I have a 94 nautique that just got a replacement gt40 motor out of a 95, but it has a bad ECM. The repair shop was supposed to have had an outside contractor working on building new ECMs, but so far they have failed to produce anything.
