    2004 sante bad gateway

im purchasing a 2004 sante 210 tomorrow. Some of the gushes don't work, so I'm leaning to a bad gateway (per shop technicians advice). I picked up a faria gw0005b from eBay. Will that work for mine, if it is messed up.

Is that the same gateway part number that's on original gateway box? There is also a coversion kit on Nautique parts for that model if its not or you can't find one. I'm pretty sure the part numbers have to be the same. If they match and the box is good it should work if that was the issue.

That should be the correct Gateway, as long as it has the pitot tube connections. Before changing it check all your breakers below the helm, iirc there is one tagged "unlock" that can effect gauges, also be sure all of the plugs into the gateway are inserted and secure. Moving forward, in the off season it's not a bad idea to completely remove the gateway and store in a warm dry place, if boat is stored in a heated environment just disconnect the pitot lines to ensure they are fully drained and then re-connect.

I know the gateway can get flooded from the pitot tubes, is there a bypass/retrofit to bypass the gateway and still have the speedometer work?

i have a 2005 SAN, and some of my gauges do not work. However I can use the tachometer mode switch to schole through each engine function. My oil pressure gauge does not operate, but I can use the tech mode sw to verify the expected oil pressure. I do the same for the engine temp. So even though some gauges don't work i can feel comfortable the engine is operating normal.
In summary just because some of the gauges do not work it does not mean it is the gateway. if the gateway fails, typically it fails completely,or useless for all engine monitoring gauges. Not just one, or two gauges.
if you can operate the boat, use the techometer to cycle through the engine sensor. if you can verify there is good oil pressure, etc. it is not the gateway.

Thanks guys. I think it's just the gauges. I'll update after we dewinterize.

What did you end up paying for the gateway? I've been having trouble finding one.

Look to pay a pretty penny if you find one. I got lucky, so my price isn't real world.

What is the correct part number for a 2004 SANTE?
