A $25 DVOM from the auto parts or box home improvement store will help you with that. Voltage is nothing more than a difference in potential. If you test across both ends of a cable and measure voltage, theres an issue.

Same on the positive wires. black on 12V+ terminal on the battery. Then measure voltage across various cables.
Realistically, you probably won't see much if any voltage drop without accessories on, consuming current. I'd probably suggest that test with the engine running, accessories and stereo on, etc.

i think you have too many grounds and your getting ground loop and noise in the stereo. ground the second battery to the stock one. remove the ground to the ground bar, that bar is just connected to the battery eventually any way.
