Stock Balast SAN Excalibur 330, about 8-9 hours per 39 gallon tank.
    How about \"Chales\"?

Thats what we get from on the 211, one very long day or two normal days on a tank.

We don't normally stay out all day -- usually only long enough for a 4 peeps to take a couple sets. However, my SAN w/4 peeps and about 1800lbs ballast burns about 5 gallons an hour. That's about spot-on with what Dragon88 estimates on their tank.

              Gas Consumption

Here's an update of my previous post on gas consumption:

I have owned three new SN 196’s and kept very accurate fuel records on them. The total average fuel consumption for my 1992 was 2.68 Gallons Per Hour with 437 hours of operation on the meter. My 1997 averaged 2.72 GPH with 430 hours of operation. My current boat is a 2004 and it is averaging 2.71 GPH with 98 hours on the meter. The 1992 had a carbureted Ford 351. The 1997 had a throttle body injected Ford 351. The 2004 has a port-injected Chevy 350. All three engines were made by PCM. All three boats were (are) used for three-event practice with some wakeboarding, kneeboarding, and recreational skiing in the mix.

I have graphs of the data in Excel if anyone is interested in seeing them.

JT; Do you round up or down from the .001GPH figure. If the answer is up I get the same in my 2000 196. Somewhere between 2 and a half and three GPH. Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

Rick; I was expecting a response like that to my first post but nobody took the bait. :???: The spreadsheet did the rounding. The actual consumption on the 2004 is 2.71043771043771 GPH (rounded off, of course)

I have owned 1 BU, 1 MC, and 2 CC's, all got about 5 gallons per hour generally speaking,
tubing, barefooting, slalom, riding (no ballast or excess junk aboard). I just try to find that sweet spot when cruising, most of the time it has been around 25 MPH.
