My 03' Flight Clip spacer

I had the same problem as everyone else with boards hitting the front tower leg. I decided to do something about it by putting a 1/2 spacer between the bar and the flight clips.
Took 1/2 stock, cut it to size, drilled holes, powder coated, used longer bolts and walla.
Should take care of the problem

Yep. Went to my local scrape metal shop and bought 1/2" by 2" Al. and then cut them to size.

Nice job Chris!

Did you consider using ABS or Black plex? Might be a little easier to do, you could even have Tap cut and polish it for you. Since the load is in compression plex probably has adequate mechanical properties to handle the load.
