I have GS20 coming with H6 motor to be used at 6225' - used for both waterksi and wakesurf. Deliberating if I should go with 1579.
Based on your initial reaction skiing behind GS20 with 1579, given I will have more powerful motor, what would you recommend if it was a choice of one propeller?
so i ended up selling the gs20 and bought a gs22 with the h6.
i ended up sending the 1873 back to acme so they could take some cup out of it and essentially make it the 2079. i never tested it when i received it back because i sold the boat. i still have it, it is sitting on my shelf.

the gs22 came with a 1235. i ran the boat all summer at 6300ft, full pro ballast, and up to 10 people in the boat. The H6 has plenty power. never once did it feel it was underpowered.
i have since moved to lower elevation and added wakemakers 800lb bags instead of the 350lb nautique pro ballast bags. the boat still has plenty power even up to 5k elevation.

i would probably run the 1235 on the gs20 with the H6

Thanks! I will get 1235 and will report back once my boat arrives. The trial end error with props operating at elevations turns out to be expensive exercise.

yes, not exactly cheap to keep trying different props.

I see you are in Tahoe City. I was on Lake Tahoe last year, Fallen Leaf Lake this year.
I just recently moved up to Bend. South Lake Tahoe is my hometown.
So my experiences should help you out quite a bit
