Newbie here, not to Nautique ownership but to this community! I have owned a Nautique for going on 20 years now, am somewhat of a DIY guy and for some strange reason I am just now discovery this awesome community! My current boat is a 2007 SV-211 TE which I have owned for ~8 years.
Someone jumped on the removable rear bench seat and cracked it in two. Can anyone provide tips on how to rebuild or replace the seat at a reasonable cost? Is it ill-advised to use plywood as the base? What is the original base made out of and where can I get that material to re-build the seat? I have a great upholstery guy here in town who can recover it for me. I can re-use the original metal retractable support and fixed piece that hooks under the cooler seat.
Any and all advice appreciated!
