230 hard tank sender

Is the sender on top of the stock ( 2013 ) rear hard tanks for full water level shut off or for gauging actual water level? I've pull the stock tanks out and plumbing in large sacks and was wondering what the sender actually does. Thanks

Pulled my tanks out and replaced with bags...no issues this far. As far as I know the levels that show up on the Linc screen are based on timers. They may check the level at startup though

water level, you can remove them without any problems except water level display

Thinking of removing my hard tanks on my 2017 San230 and replacing them with 1100 sacks. How hard was the job of removing the L shaped tanks? They don't look like they come up through the opening at the top???

What size bags are you going with? Stock bags or custom for the boat? I am thinking about doing the same thing.
