    Quick drain

Does anyone have any ideas for a quick drain of the shower and heater? I know I'll have to drain these items during early spring and late fall. I would love to find a quick and efficient way to do so.

Regarding the shower, I'm wondering if I can't just run the pump until all the water runs out. Is this a no-no?

Yes you run the pump to get the water out. Pull the hose off the block and run it with the cold side closed till it runs out. Then close the hot side and run it with the pump on to empty the cold side. The heater is a breeze. Pull the two hoses off and blow air through the top hose and it blows out of the bottom line. Just blow until you are sure you got it all out of there.

Do you use the heater and the shower everytime you go out? If not, you could just disconnect them and cap the barbs. Otherwise, you could put some three way valves in the engine box. Run the third way of each shower hose to a RV antifreeze bottle. When you want to winterize the shower, switch the valves and suck untill it comes out pink. As for the heater, i think it would be nice if someone could use a liquid to liquid heat exchanger (like the tranny coolers) and have a closed system with antifreeze in it for the heater. I think this would be easy to do and would just require a heat exchanger and a pump to cirulate the water. Also, I am working on a central vac system... think there is a need for that? I think that would be cool.
