    Cleaning interior

What is the safest way to clean interior. The interior is not dirty but would like to keep it clean and maintain it. It's a 2005 and the interior is in excellent condition. Just want to keep it that way.

I have used Babes for the past 4 years on mine and am really happy with the results.

To get an older one cleaned up try totally awesome you buy at dollar store. Warm water and a soft brush to scrub. It works really good. Youll need to follow up with some conditioner like 303 or Babes.... I used it on used boats Ive bought and made them look great and its cheap but does require some elbow grease.

You can also get a DA polisher with an upholstery attachment to take the elbow grease out of it.

303 isn't really a cleaner but a wiping down with it will do a little cleaning and more importantly it will protect the vinyl.

Christine's Marine recommends dawn on the Vinyl. I also second the use of a brush. Works much better then a towel to get into the vinyl.

Dawn is also great for the carpet.

Personally I use 303 to regularly wipe down then something stronger (dawn or totally awesome) at the start and end of the season to clean things.

I've done the interior with marine Spray Nine for the cleaning then 303 for the protectant. Looks good in my book.

I wouldn't think using mineral spirits is a good idea, have a feeling it would shorten the life of the vinyl and maybe make it brittle. Mild soap like dishwashing liquid is safe, and will generally remove the stains you encounter on boat upholstery.

Agree with cleaning with Dawn and then wiping down with 303. My 2012 230 SANTE seats still looked brand new when I traded it in a few months ago.

Babe's... Buy their "Bucket of Babe's" for all you'll need (even comes with binding lube).

I've never used a magic eraser on my boat vinyl, it'll work yes...but it's not good for the vinyl and will do damage and shorten lifespan.

Good to know and honestly the only time i have ever used it was after storage over the winter, this is on an older 2000 boat too that needed a lit of loving. For everyday stuff i use mcguires.
